SAVING REMNANTS was chosen for screening. This video commemorates the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising through dance, graphic art, and music. (Over 500 entries / 25 selected for festival.)

Black Maria Film Festival / 2000
OFFERINGS FOR WALLENBERG was selected for screening. The video honors the memory of Raoul Wallenberg, Swedish diplomat, who saved over 100,000 Hungarian Jews from the Holocaust. (Over 800 entires / 48 selected for festival.)

Canadian International Annual Film and Video Festival / 2000
OFFERINGS FOR WALLENBERG received a Best of Festival award.
SAVED BY WALLENBERG received a Two Star commendation. This video combines dramatic testimony by a survivor of the Budapest Ghetto with archival photos of the last days of Nazi terror.

FISTFUL OF SMOKE received the Chris Award. (There were over 800 entries from thirty different countries. Only eighty films and videos were selected for the Chris award.)

SAVING REMNANTS received a bronze plaque. The video explored the memory of the Jewish fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto through dance, graphic art, and music.

FISTFUL OF SMOKE received a Silver Medal and was screened at the Federal Reserve Bank Auditorium.

WITNESS & LEGACY: Contemporary Art About the Holocaust / Winter 1995 to present
This traveling exhibition was organized by the Minnesota Museum of American Art in January of 1995. The show has been seen by over 100,000 adults and school children across the country. Exhibitions are currently scheduled at major museums through the year 2000. Seven kvitl--folded mixed media graphics--are featured in the Witness & Legacy exhibit. Many Faces of Faith / 1997
A major exhibit organized by the Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies in Philadelphia to combat institutional racism. A large mixed media collage, Mr. Sugibara: A Righteous Gentile, presented the story of a minor Japanese official who saved 3,500 Jews during World War II by giving them sanctuary in Shanghai, China.

Certificate of Achievement for Outstanding Leadership Initiative / Spring 1987
The certificate was presented by the Philadelphia chapter of Community Leadership Seminars in recognition of the U.S. Constitution High School Essay Contest and commemorative poster which was developed by the Blake+Barancik Design Group. The poster and winning essays were featured in the "Living Legacy" supplement published by the "Philadelphia Inquirer" newspaper, and distributed to 50,000 Delaware Valley students and teachers.

Certificate of Achievement for Innovation in Public Education / Spring 1988
This certificate was awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in recognition of the outstanding desktop publication designs that the Blake+Barancik Design Group had contributed to the Youth Leadership Demonstration Project (YLDP). These skillfully designed documents significantly helped YLDP to gain both funding from the Pew Charitable Trust and the School Board of Philadelphia (The YLD works with disadvantaged youths in developing viable public service projects and "real world" leadership skills.)

Letter of Appreciation from the Philadelphia Board of Education / Spring 1989
The Blake+Barancik Design Group edited, illustrated, and designed a multi-cultural curriculum for over 2,000 classroom teachers in the Philadelphia public schools. This two hundred page loose-leaf textbook had chapters devoted to each of the fourteen ethnic groups that make up the Philadelphia public schools.

Wallenberg video presented to Swedish ambassador / Autumn 1999 / Twin Cities (MN)
OFFERINGS FOR WALLENBERG video was presented to the Swedish ambassador as part of highly publicized public reception and events commemorating the memory of Raoul Wallenberg. (Details are available upon request.)
