Bios

Dave Puls

Dave PulsDave Puls is a director, animator, songwriter and musician. Dave has been the Creative Director at Animatus Studio since 1992. He has worked on numerous animated commercials and edited a number of documentaries. He has also written and animated 14 independent films, called Fresh Toones. They have been screened at festivals around the world. Six of these animated shorts have been trophy winners at various film festivals and are included in the Best of the Fest videos. Since 2002, Dave has worked on six independent films through the CreativeLedge Studio founded by Bob Barancik. These films have been screened at multiple festivals and have won a variety awards. www.FreshToones.com

Jeffrey James Skatzka

Jeffrey James SkatzkaJeffrey James Skatzka is a performance poet, actor and singer based in St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay. His work in The Purple Bubble has been used as the soundtrack for recent award-winning video Torn Asunder by artist Bob Barancik. Jeffrey is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a degree in Literature and English and most recently appeared onstage as Horatio in Hamlet at The Studio@620, directed by Bob Devin Jones. www.myspace.com/liftedandgifted

Pedro Jarquin

Pedro JarquinBorn in Managua, Nicaragua, Pedro was born with poetry laced into his bloodstream. He grew up in the Washington D.C. area and spent most of his life on stage, whether in choir, theatre, learning and teaching dance, or performing poetry. Pedro has experience in film in addition to his extensive spoken word work. He has appeared as the likeness of Christ in Martita Contreras’ film installation, “Via Crucis.” He provided lyrics and vocals as part of the Purple Burble for Bob Barancik’s acclaimed film “Torn Asunder,” which has traveled the country. www.nationofpoetry.com

Bob Barancik

Bob BarancikBob Barancik is the founder and catalyst-in-residence of the CreativeLedge Web site, CreativeLedge Studio, and the CreativeShare gathering. He received an M.A. from the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University, and dual degrees in fine arts and architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. Bob has also completed extensive graduate studies in creative art therapies at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University, and postgraduate work in organizational development at the William Alanson White Institute in New York City.

Bob’s award-winning videos featuring his artwork have been screened at the JVC Tokyo Video Festival, Berkeley Video & Film Festival, Washington DC Independent Film Festival, Los Angeles International Shorts Festival, Ignite! Festival in New York City, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Santa Cruz Film Festival, Columbus International Film & Video Festival, Philadelphia International Film Festival, Rochester International Film Festival, Toronto Jewish Film Festival, Festival International du Film Indepéndant (Brussels), Black Maria Film Festival, Canadian International Annual Film Festival, Maine International Film Festival, Maine Filmmakers Forum, Festivus Film Festival, and others.
